『Walk the Boy’s Path: Discover Gwangju’s May 18 History』
“K-Democracy Humanities Radio Tour · Radi-enteering”

 

서로 다른 언어로 만나 5·18의 역사와 기억을 따라 걷습니다.

 

「소년의 길 : K-민주주의 인문 라디오 투어」는 광주·전남 시민과 지역에 거주하는 외국인·유학생이 함께 라디오 방송을 들으며 5·18의 역사적 공간을 걷는 참여형 행사입니다.
 

대한민국 민주주의의 역사가 라디오를 통해 살아나는 길, 전남대학교에서 5·18민주광장까지 이어지는 특별한 여정에 여러분을 초대합니다.

Inspired by ‘Human Acts’, a novel by Nobel Prize–winning author Han Kang, “The Boy’s Path” connects places associated with the May 18 Democratization Movement. We will walk from Chonnam National University to May 18 Democracy Square, listening to stories along the way.
 
What is radi-enteering?
It’s a walking experience guided by a radio broadcast. Tune in on your smartphone through the GGN radio app or YouTube and follow the program as we walk together. The program is available in Korean and English, and no prior knowledge of May 18 is needed.

  Event Details
  - Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
  - Meeting point: Main Stadium, Chonnam National University
  - 2:00–3:00 p.m.: Pre-event program featuring DJ Merpik
  - 3:00–5:00 p.m.: Radi-enteering walk to May 18 Democracy Square
  - Walking distance: Approximately 6-7 km with regular breaks in between
  - Languages: Korean and English
  - Admission: Free
  - Participants: Local residents, international residents, and international students—up to 300 people
  - Refreshments: Water, drinks, and light snacks will be provided.

What to Bring
 Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a fully charged smartphone and earphones. For your safety, stay with your group, follow staff instructions, and keep the volume low enough to hear your surroundings.
